Amateur, hobby vaporwave artist from Slovakia. His genres of interest are Zoomerwave/Zilleniwave (Neo-vapor/Vaporvapor), Hauntology, Mallsoft.

newgene MCMXCIX name stands for/means: "new generation (new gene(s)), e(lectronic)";[2] MCMXCIX means/is 1999 in roman numerals, birthyear ("MATRIX"[3]-generation) of author.

Primal vaporwave interest began[4] after discovery of the genre in circa(?) 2018 with "Plastic Love mania"[5], which led to discovery of future funk via Saint Pepsi (or Skylar Spence) track, either Cherry Pepsi,[6] or even Private Caller[6] (Better), and later on into other vaporwave, like (while not vw directly) Vanilla - Summer (and others), ｍ aｉ t ｒ o - INDIGO PLATEAU!, VECTOR GRAPHICS - DESTINE ... (via ElFamosoDemon and other "providers", e.g. Sun Levi)

His first playlist[4] was inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion (below), EVA: Plug suit/:E TEST. It was experiment(s) with "8-D" sound binaural track(s), creating illusion of 3D ("8D") sound, whirling around your head. Later followed with need, urge to create but not-so-yet versed into vaporwave or sampling, nor culture (which he would ignore anyway), know-how or even idea of what he does, he "slams" piano sounds on https://onlinesequencer.net/, creating rather non-vaporwave tracks, first, from sheer need to "self-realize", kill loneliness.

First "vaporwave" tracks are zoomerwave-styled, yet not totally "tiktofied" (post-vaporwave) samples of old melodic pop-, but not "happy"-sounding songs, styled in rather yet-to-be-realized, -named, -compiled muzak-style mallsoft - akin to sounds of (to him) then-unknown t e l e p a t h. Later, returning to self-made piano "bangers-slammers" yet again, later, to fall within vaporwave again.

This time, for all the grunge, failing for self-hated "genre of tiktok", he returns (as) to web-coined "zoomerwave", a.k.a. samples of (y2k) 90s-10s girls-pop music. But rather of "modern (~2020) zoomer" glory for phonk and daycore, he goes for re-vapor, renaissance, return of basics, classic, maybe to hate of all, old-style eccojams-type tunes. From eccojams, collage, duet-edit, earrape-compression to total broken,-deathdream "alien transmissions" - towards attempts to revisit classics of the classics[7] - this artist is beating his own drum...

His more mallsoft, doomerwave, deathdreamesque-oriented music (arts) can be found under alias 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥-𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬, which is named for/after how people change themselves under observation/supervision (the panopticon effect (2)(3)(4))[8], here. Referred to behavior in malls and-or when in (then-)huge crowds in-group and as-selves.
